My nutritional awakening began when I was pregnant with my first child with the idea that whatever I ate, my child would also eat. The basic nutritional guidance I received included avoiding alcohol, ingesting lots of dairy and taking a prenatal vitamin. I know now that prenatal nutrition involves much more!
As my nutritional IQ increased over the years, I chose to decline the maintenance antibiotic and ear tubes recommended for my third child’s chronic ear infections. Rather, my 7 month-old son and I went on an elimination diet. Success proved quick as the fluid in his ears dried up within two weeks, never to plague him again. Personally, I’ve successfully dealt with high cholesterol, high blood glucose levels as well as gastro-intestinal and mood issues through nutrition.
My passion for using nutrition to affect wellbeing blossomed into a career. Using both my formal education and life experiences, I share my knowledge with clients to help them experience the benefits of nutritional therapy.
